I was in the process of selling a home and discovered during the inspection process that the Heating Unit had been improperly installed 5 years prior and would not pass inspection. I found out that the previous owners had purchased the unit from 1960 Air Conditioning so I called them. Their records showed that that the previous owners had used a sub-contractor to install the unit. When the owner of 1960 found out that his name was on the unit, he came himself and personally reinstalled the unit at no cost to me. He made sure it passed city and code inspections and even made some other repairs for me at no cost. He did this because he is a man of integrity and I was very impressed with his desire to make things right. He could have claimed that the unit was 5 years old and out of warranty so he had no responsibility, but he did the right thing because it was the right thing to do. I have to say this builder/remodeler is one of the best I've worked with. In our last home, we bought the home with a number of standard features and hired Essence Custom Homes to come in and redo areas and upgrade them. His pricing is so much less than that of our actual builder, we hired them to do the same on our next home when we moved just recently. Not sure how he gets the pricing he does but it is a reall deal. He used to and still does very high end homes in the upper end parts of town but his pricing does not reflect that, but his work does. It truly is top notch. Very pleasent people to work with and they will do everything for you. At first I was worried of the unknow and being taken advantage of. They break every thing down for you so you know exactly what you are getting, and they can do what ever you want. I know they are stilling building homes from beginning to end but I'm lucky to have found out about them and used them on our remodel jobs.
They also do simple handy man work also. Had a friend who had a very simple job or repair and they took care of it.

Elite Refinishing priced my hard wood floors for me. They are a reasonably priced company and they did a wonderful job on my living room and den which is a total of 1500 sq ft. Mr. Thomas kept me informed throughout the whol e process, and whenever I called with a question he was always there to answer or he at least had someone to call me back with the information. He helped me with the design and the quality of hardwood that I wanted placed in my home. He and his men were very neat and kept my home clean.
They also did my bathroom giving it a whole new look. The ceramic title was great and they clean up after themselves when they are working. My floor title and wall title are stunning. I never knew my bathroom had that kind of potential. Definitely call them for plumbing and hardwood floor service.

I suspected I had a rodent problem in my attic. A friend referred me to Enviro-Pest. I called and described the problem. They came out that afternoon and explained all the options and the cost of each option. I decided on the couse of treatment I preferred and they came back the next day to begin treatment which was to place bait in the attic and to later seal off all avenues of entry by rodents into the attic. They came back as they said they would in four days and cleared the dead rodents from the attic and sealed all the possible entrances. Several days later when I suspected there was still some dead rodents that had not been discovered, they came again at no charge and removed the carcasses. They did everything they said they would and did it when they said they would and did it at a reasonable price. John Harlow from Harlow's Hands came out and installed medical grab bars for my mother and father. My parents are getting up in age and decided that they would be comfortable if some grab bars were added in the two bathrooms. Mr. Harlow came out and took a look at the bathrooms and we decided what would work better for my parents and his price was within reason., very reasonable.
The great thing about Mr. Harlow is that he was polite and has a helper that was right there with him assisting him. The day he came out he already had some extra bars on his truck and did the work the same day andit did not take him very long.

I was in a foreclosure situation after interviewing many Realtors none wanted to be bothered. My payoff was more than what I could sell it for due to additional fees and 4 months behind. The Realtors felt there was not enough money for them to get paid. I was ready to walk. After talking with Donna Wilson, she listed my home and went the extra mile and contacted the mortgage company. She negotiated with the mortgage to pull the property from auction and allow me to stay in the home without making any payments while she marketed the home. She also was able to negotiate with the mortgage company to accept a short-sale based on the Comps and satisfy my loan without a foreclosure on my credit. She sold it quickly after the mortgage company agreed on the sales price. I was able to save money while she marketed my home. She gave me personalized service and also helped me to find a lease home in the area. She is very knowledgable and made selling the home a a pleasant experience even in a bad situation. This is truly an awesome Realtor! I recommend her to anyone!
