Community of the Month - July 2010

Silvercreek Community Association

Silvercreek Community Association, comprised of 748 homes, is located in beautiful Pearland Texas. The Silvercreek Board was very active in enhancing their community in 2009 and 2010.

In 2009, the Board added new playground equipment at the Main Park and Pocket Park, landscaping at the Pocket Park including trees along CR 101, trees in the median and esplanade areas, new iron fence at the Pocket Park, a Sidewalk at the Pocket Park to connect Keagan Falls with Tidal Wood, benches, tables and waste stations, planting beds (1 large and 2 small ), handicap access ramps near the footbridge, safety edge on the footbridge and a new cantilever beam shade system at the pool.

In 2010, the Board continues their great work with plans to landscape the Main Park, beautification of the entries of the neighborhood, to continue to work with MUD 6 for their Master Park Plan, implement a tree replacement program and a water well.

In addition to all the great new additions in the community, the Board has also continued the tradition of hosting great events. Some of these events for include a Community Garage Sale, Splash Day, July 4th Event, Yard of the Month and Best Christmas Decoration Contest. The Board also held its first Annual Holiday Lights and Santa Event. This event was held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 and had over 150 residents celebrating with wine, cheese, cookies and more. While a time fellowship, the evening was highlighted with the lighting of the trees along Silvercreek Drive and the arrival of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus via Manvel fire truck with a police motorcycle escort. The response from residents was very positive with encouragement to make it bigger and better for 2010.

As you can see from above the Board has been very busy in making Silvercreek the best community in Pearland.
